Our second day on the beautiful island of Amorgos began with a Yoga Trapeze session.
For many of the ladies, it was their very first experience using a yoga trapeze, and it's fair to say there were a few nervous smiles at the beginning! Stepping outside our comfort zones can feel daunting, but as the session unfolded, those nerves quickly turned into laughter, confidence, and a real sense of achievement.
Watching everyone relax into the flow, trust the equipment, and experience the freedom of movement was incredibly rewarding. By the end of the session, they understood why I love Yoga Trapeze so much, and I think it had won a few new fans.
Afterwards, we gathered for another delicious and nourishing breakfast with plenty of fresh options to choose from. Over coffee and fresh fruit, we reflected on the previous day's experiences and chatted about how everyone wanted to spend the day ahead.
One of the things I love most about this retreat is that there is no pressure to constantly be doing something. The day belonged entirely to each guest. Some chose to indulge in a relaxing spa treatment, others wandered down to the beach to enjoy the crystal-clear waters, while some stayed at the hotel with a good book, embracing the unfamiliar but wonderful concept of simply doing... nothing.
Later in the afternoon, we came together for tea and one of my favourite parts of the retreat, our Menopause Conversation Circle.
This topic is incredibly close to my heart, and every time I host these discussions, I leave having learned just as much as I have shared. We created a warm, supportive, and judgement-free space where everyone felt comfortable asking questions and sharing their own experiences. As all of the ladies were navigating perimenopause, our conversations naturally explored many of the challenges this stage can bring. We talked openly about symptoms, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), nutrition, supplements, sleep, movement, emotional wellbeing, and practical ways to support ourselves through this important transition.
There is something incredibly powerful about realising you're not alone.
The afternoon gently flowed into a calming yoga practice, allowing everyone to unwind both physically and mentally before we enjoyed another wonderful dinner together.
To end the evening, we made our way up to the rooftop to watch the sun slowly disappear beneath the horizon. As if the sunset itself wasn't magical enough, we were treated to the unmistakable glow of Venus shining brightly in the evening sky.
It felt like the perfect gift from nature, a beautiful reminder to slow down, be present, and appreciate life's simple moments.
We stayed a little longer, enjoying the warm evening air, sharing stories, laughter, and heartfelt conversations under the stars.
Day 2 wasn't about ticking off activities.
It was about movement, meaningful connection, deep rest, and discovering the beauty that unfolds when we give ourselves permission to simply be.
