Yoga, Sea & Stillness | Rise & Release Retreat, Greece: Day 4
6 July 2026
Day 4 slows things down, morning yoga, an afternoon by the beach, and a gentle evening practice as the day winds to a close.
Day 4, nothing to prove today
After three days of movement, exploring, and a fair bit of hanging upside down, Day 4 was about giving everyone permission to just be. Morning yoga was slower than usual, less about the pose, more about the breath.
Then the whole afternoon opened up. Some of the group swam, some read, some just sat with their feet in the sand and said nothing at all. I think that's underrated on a retreat, unstructured time is still part of the practice, even if it doesn't look like one.
We came back together in the evening for one last session as the light started to change, golden hour yoga by the sea might be my favourite part of this entire retreat in Amorgos.
If Day 1 was about arriving and Day 3 was about exploring, Day 4 was about remembering how to do nothing. It's always the hardest thing to teach people on retreat, that rest isn't a gap between the "real" parts of the practice, it is the practice. Watching the group unwind on the beach today, I think it landed.
