My Daily Wellness Routine During Menopause: Small Habits, Big Impact

As someone who is fully immersed in the menopause journey, I’ve come to realize just how important it is to truly take care of my body and mind. Honestly, these are habits we should all practice at any stage of life—but during menopause, the need becomes more urgent.

Hormones have carried me for years, playing a vital role in my mood, energy, bone health, metabolism, and more. Now, as those hormone levels naturally decline (with no coming back!), I’ve made it my mission to fill the gaps—intentionally and consistently—so I can feel my best and thrive through this next chapter.


Here’s a look at the daily routine that helps me stay strong, centered, and energized:



🌿 1. Morning Ritual: Chewing Cloves


I begin each day by chewing 4 to 5 whole cloves. It may sound simple, but cloves are loaded with powerful health benefits.


Why cloves?

  • Support heart health

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Improve digestion and gut health

  • May help protect against chronic disease

Additional Benefits:

  • Packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber

  • High in antioxidants

  • May support liver health

  • Could help regulate blood sugar

  • Promote bone health

  • Have antibacterial properties

  • May even reduce the risk of stomach ulcers

It’s such a small act, but I love starting the day knowing I’ve already done something good for my body.



🏋️‍♀️ 2. Pre-Shower Strength Training


Before I step into the shower, I carve out 10–15 minutes for a quick weight-bearing workout. This has become a non-negotiable part of my routine.

Why it matters:

  • Supports muscle tone

  • Maintains strength

  • Promotes bone density

Especially during menopause, preserving bone health is critical—and resistance training is one of the best tools we have.
